5 Hair Care Tips for Fall
Posted on September 26 2021
Now that summer is officially over, it's time for some hair care tips for Fall. The cooler weather will bring in dry, cold air, which means we will be turning on heat, which can make your tresses frizzy, brittle and unmanageable. Here are some simply ways you can maintain health hair throughout the whole cold season.
- Time for a Trim.
You should get a haircut every 8 to 12 weeks to keep split ends off, no matter what time of year it is. A good trim will keep those split ends from traveling up your hair shaft and causing even more dryness.
Summer sun leaves your hair damaged, dried out and more susceptible to breakage. Schedule an appointment with your stylist to cut those split ends.
2. Go Darker.
Experiment with a deeper hair color. Our natural hair is lighter in the summer and slightly darker during the cold season, so this is the perfect time to give your hair a little break. If you are a blonde, try adding some caramel or golden highlights. Brunettes can add some red tones or even a clear gloss to seal down the cuticle and create a beautiful shine.
3. Deep Condition.
Just because summer is over doesn't mean your hair doesn't need a really good treatment. It is so important to apply a deep conditioning treatment to restore moisture and elasticity to your tresses. A bi-weekly conditioning treatment will help combat dry hair, static and tangles. Just 15 minutes a few times a month will help your hair stay healthy.
Try Moehair Mask, it is a color-safe nourishing treatment that repair’s dry damaged hair, adds shine, tames frizz, detangles, prevents split ends, stops hair breakage, enhances natural body, and leaves hair silky smooth. Intensive enough to be used as a periodic deep-conditioning treatment, yet flexible enough to be used as a daily conditioner.
4. Invest in Professional Styling Products
Soon we will be turning on our electric heat in our homes, cars, etc. This is super drying to our hair and on top of that, we use heat-activated tools to style our hair. You should always add a leave in conditioner, styling serum and a thermal protecting spray to your winter beauty arsenal. Before you pick up the blow dryer or curling iron, spritz a leave in conditioner, styling serum and thermal protector on your wet strands to help prevent breakage.
5. Use a Professional Shampoo and Conditioner
Yes, it does make a difference! Professional line products use ingredients that balance the pH level of the hair, extend color life, and seal the cuticle of your hair. A good shampoo will wash away normal wear and tear from the environment like pollution and smoke, but will not strip your hair of its natural oils and lipids.
We love Moehair Shampoo and Conditioner. The shampoo is a gentle cleansing formula that hydrates and restores moisture, improving the overall health and appearance of the hair. Moehair Conditioner helps reconstruct, detangle and replenish moisture levels, instantly revitalizing dull, weak, and damaged hair.
