DIY Hair Masks for All Summer Long

Summer is approaching us quickly which means so is the beach time, the pool water, and the summer heat. Why not get your hair ready for the summer by getting it in tip-top shape before it can become damaged by the season elements?!
Below, we have provided all the DIY hair masks you'll need for every thing that can happen during the summer: Dry Hair, Damaged/Brittle Hair, Oily Hair, and Dandruff. With each problem, we have provided two different hair masks to get you through the summer. Enjoy these 8 hair masks, and make sure you let us know how much they helped your hair!
Dry Hair
You'll need:
- 4 tbsp honey
- 6 tbsp olive oil
How to use:
- Mix and apply to hair
- Put on shower cap or plastic bag over your hair
- Let set for 15-30 minutes
You'll need:
- 1 Banana
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 drops lavender oil
- 1 tsp honey
How to use:
- Mash banana with a fork
- Mix all ingredients
- Leave on for 15 minutes
Damaged/Brittle Hair
You'll need:
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup milk
How to use:
- Mix honey and milk together thoroughly
- Carefully pour over your hair and rub it in
- Allow to sit for an hour
You'll need:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp vitamin e oil
How to use:
- Mix all ingredients into a bowl
- Apply to the hair and let sit for an hour
Oily Hair
You'll need:
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp almond oil
- 1/4 cup oats
How to use:
- Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until mixture becomes a paste
- Apply to hair and leave for 15 minutes
You'll need:
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
How to use:
- Mix all ingredients together
- Gently pour over hair
- Leave for 30 minutes
Dandruff
You'll need:
- 4 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
How to use:
- Warm coconut oil just to melted point
- Add lemon juice
- Apply mixture to affected area
- Leave for 15 minutes
You'll need:
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey
- Juice from 1 lemon
How to use:
- Mix all ingredients together until well blended
- Apply to scalp
- Leave for 10 minutes
- Rinse with cold water
